Alex Roeka asked me to home-produce a Ramses Shaffy song as a contribution to an album release as a tribute to Shaffy, who, had he not passed away several years ago, would have turned 80 this August. Alex is one of the artists invited to re-record a Shaffy song, the idea begin that we give the material a new approach. Having heard Nick Cave’s latest album, Alex asked me to take an electronic loop-based angle. Here is a video of the equipment after the recording sesssion. When possible, I will post the song as well!
